PADI Sidemount course - Koh Tao Thailand

 The PADI Sidemount course is suitable for recreational technical divers who are interested in utilizing this configuration to a maximum depth of 30m (40m with PADI Deep Specialty). This is a great course for photographers and videographers or divers who like to do a bit of further exploration. With sidemount, you have 2 independant regulators and tanks while carrying twice as much gas. Because of the versatility and simplicity to move tanks through smaller passageways, sidemount is getting more popular everyday.  Especially within the wreck and cave diving community.

Your PADI Sidemount Instructor will cover a number of topics and skills including:

  • Equipment configuration and preparation
  • Body posture and trim
  • Propulsion techniques
  • Gas management
  • Proper sidemount procedures and emergencies

The PADI Sidemount will outline the procedures for conducting sidemount dives and a great addition to your diving qualifications.

Prerequisites for the PADI sidemount course:

  • Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
  • Have a minimum of 20 logged dives,

The duration of the course is 2 days and the cost is 15,000thb for standard sidemount, 20,000 thb for technical sidemount courses.
