PADI Dive Instructor Internships on Koh Tao

With Davy Jones Locker being a PADI Career Development Centre we can offer you complete Dive Instructor Internship packages from complete beginner right through to Instructor, Master Scuba Diver Trainer(MSDT) or Staff Instructor, you don’t have to decide before you start you can sign up to train through to Instructor and then when you have completed that decide if you would like to go on to take the MSDT or more.

There are a couple of pre-requisites that you must meet before you can take an Instructor course the first of these are that you must have at least 100 logged dives (which isn’t usually a problem if you are taking one of these packages expect to log 100 dives before completing your Divemaster qualification). The second of these is that you must have been qualified as at least a Open Water/Scuba Diver (or equivalent) for a minimum of 6 months before taking the Instructor Exam, ideally before the start of the Instructor Development course (IDC).

This of course impacts on the time required in or to take the Instructor packages and so for this reason we have split the Instructor Internships into 2 sections the Beginner to Instructor section and the Diver to Instructor section as usually it will take much less time to become an Instructor if you are already at least a Open Water/Scuba Diver before you come here.

If you are coming to complete some of the courses up to Divemaster with us and are going to be here between October and April there is also the option to take some of those courses at our Koh Lipe dive centre.
