Whether you’ve never made a boat dive or you’ve logged dozens, the PADI Boat Diver Specialty course can benefit almost every diver because different boats in different parts of the world do things differently. The PADI Boat Diver Specialty course familiarises you with the various ways you stow gear, enter and exit the water, use surface lines and more, depending upon the type boat and the location. The PADI Boat Diver certification counts toward your Master Scuba Diver rating and is run over 2 open water dives with your instructor.
PADI Boat Diver
The PADI Boat Diver specialty course is designed to give students the proper skills and knowledge for scuba diving from a boat. Because most of the dive sites surrounding Koh Tao are away from the shore and out to sea, boat diving is the most common. In this course, you will learn about boat diving etiquette, nautical terminology, managing seasickness, how to deploy a surface marker buoy and how to pack, prepare and stow equipment.
