The Night Diving specialty is held on three evenings.
When you go night diving you’ll see a whole new world. Even your local dive site takes on a new personality at night, as many underwater creatures and plant life (different from those you see during the day) are active at night.
You’ll learn night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You’ll also learn how to control your buoyancy, navigate and communicate at night. Since many of the plants and animals you’ll see are different, you’ll also get an introduction to nocturnal aquatic life.
PADI Night Diver
Explore and experience the mysterious marine life beneath the surface and the stars. Equipped with a specialized dive light, you will illuminate and discover the diverse creatures thriving in the darkness. Under direct supervision, you will learn and utilize techniques used by nighttime divers to dive safely and retain clear communication, despite the lack of daylight.
Want to shake it up a bit and bring something new to light? We offer night dives under ultraviolet light sources as corals and fishes alike will react differently to UV light. Ask your instructor or shoot us a message for more details.
